Mild temperatures for many activies

I spotted these gals riding horseback on Dwight Beach Road between Corbett Cove and Nor'loch Lodge
It made me happy. 

Dec snow

                   The first snow fall late November was awesome, complete with blizzard and power outages. The snow may have gone down a little with this mild spell, but we expect a white Christmas and some outdoor winter fun.  Come up and see us soon, your snowshoes are waiting.

Great November

Lake of Bays

Today, Nov. 26, was 12 degrees, calm and fantastic.  John checking on a marker bouy in front of Nor'Loch Lodge Resort.  It's a good time to take advantage of hiking in Algonquin Park before the snow flies. 

Awesome Beach

The beach picture as promised. Taken from the Nor'Loch dock down the shore towards the Oxtongue River.  People have been enjoying walking along the expanded shore while it lasts.

                Even though Dwight Bay is still frozen, the Oxtongue River is opening up.  As soon as the    
                river and the Boyne Creek meet, the ice will drop and the lake level will go back to normal. 
                Right now it is down about 15 feet.
               Any bets on the meeting date.  Gary says April 21st.

February Winter Action

Come on Up and Have a Dog Sled Ride at the Dwight Winter Carnival - Feb. 25-27th
Hey, only $3.00 for a button and you can have a ride with these puppies.
  Every weekend in February is a carnival, event or some winter excitement in the area.
  Such as the Kearney Dog Sled races on Valentines Feb. 12th weekend and  the Dorset Snowball
on the 19th weekend, where snowmobile water skimming is a crazy highlight.
